Santi just won a few hours ago in one of the most legendary races in the international schedule with almost sixty thousand runners racing in the Lilac Bloomsday on the streets of Spokane.

Albatera´s (southeast Spain) racer was racing in a record time (32´14´´) til nine K but strong headwind in the last part of the course made impossible to be under thirty three minutes. He won his sixth consecutive Lilac Bloomsday which is a real tough race due to the Doomsday hill which has an average degree of 6,5% and a 0,72mile length.

I feel happy for my perfomance and I´ll try another victory in 2011. I wanto to dedicate this victory to my friend Salinas who pass away this week due to a neurologic desease.

The racer will keep training in Spokane for some more days before flying to Grand Rapids (Michigan) next Thursday to race the Fifth Third River Bank Run of 25Km, where he has already won in last five editions.
